Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber is impressed with the commitment made by the former captain Kalione Nasoko in trying to retain his spot in the squad.

Baber says it is great to see Nasoko back to his best and is one of the experienced players.

Nasoko was out of rugby due to an injury he sustained during the 2019 HSBC Canada 7s and has been in rehab.

The 30-year-old has impressed the 7s coaching staff and has been included in the team that will participate in the Oceania 7s from the 25th to the 27th of this month in Australia.

Nasoko will also be vying for a spot in the National team that will travel to Japan for the Olympic Games that will be held from the 23rd of July to the 8th of August.
