Ba Motor Parts extends sponsorship, boosts rugby growth in Ba

Local companies are playing a key role in promoting rugby in the province, with Ba Motor Parts(BMP) extending its sponsorship of the Ba Rugby Union (BRU) for another year.

The partnership, which started in 2023 through support for the Ba Tikina Championships, has grown to support wider rugby development programmes, helping lift the standard of the game in Ba.

BMP Director of Operations, Alex Singh, says the company remains committed to encouraging rugby at all levels, especially through investment in youth and grassroots development.

He adds that such investments provide opportunities for young players and contribute to the growth of the sport, with positive impacts already being seen in Ba’s performance in the Skipper Cup.

Singh also says that Ba Motor Parts has a long history of supporting sport in the province and is proud to continue contributing to rugby’s growth.

Ba Rugby Union Director, former Flying Fijian Vilimoni Delasau, says he is grateful for Ba Motor Parts commitment, adding that partnerships with local companies are vital to sustaining and growing the sport.

The renewed sponsorship comes after Vinod Patel Ba’s historic Skipper Cup victory over Tailevu, with the competition set to resume on 6th September when Ba face Nadroga.
