BLK Lavidi Brothers start Kadavu 7s title defence with 2 wins

Fiji Bitter Kadavu 7s defending champions BLK Lavidi Brothers have kicked off their title defence on a high after securing two wins in their pool matches today.

Lavidi defeated Nasikawa Blues 22-12 in the first match before thumping Namuana Rugby 17-0 in their second match.

Meanwhile, TEMC Warriors caused one of the major upsets of day 1 in the tournament after edging Dominion Brothers 14-12 in their first match.

The other major upset was caused by JSL Vakaloloma Lavesa after they defeated Post Shop Tabadamu 12-0.

In other matches in the Men’s division today, Naisogoceva Rugby 1 won by default over Village Boys, Post Shop Tabadamu edged Pegasus Lavidi 2 7-5, Vacalea Young Boys 1 beat Viwa Rugby 7-0, Veilomani Rugby defeated Tavuki Rugby 7-0, Tackle Kadavu defeated Naisogoceva Rugby 2 19-0, Jirisamuta Brothers drew 7-all with Vacalea Young Boys 2, PSM Aflame Brothers defeated Caginiwasa Rugby 19-0, Naisogoceva Rugby 1 defeated Spearhead Yalovata 7-5, Vacalea Young Boys 1 won by default over Baravi Rugby and Dominion Brothers thrashed Tiliva Rugby 26-0.

In the U21 division, PSM Aflame Brothers defeated Drue Rugby 17-0, Village Boys defeated Airport Rugby 19-0, Lavidi Brothers defeated Namuana 12-5, Dominion Brothers beat Nasikawa Blues 21-0, Village Boys defeated Jioma Rugby 7-0, Radisson Naduruniu defeated Namuana Rugby 12-0 and Dominion Brothers defeated Yauravu Rugby 17-0.
