Australia has delivered a further 30,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to Fiji as well as vaccine consumables such as syringes and other equipment over the last 3 days.

This has been confirmed by Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, John Feakes who says of the 1 million doses committed to Fiji, Australia has delivered 70,000 doses this month alone.

Health Minister, Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete had earlier stated that Fiji is targeting to get 1.2 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as they aim to vaccinate 600,000 people in the country.

The vaccination drive for Suva and Nausori containment zones continues today.
