Australia has announced another $10 million in support of rebuilding schools in the Northern division that was devastated by Tropical Cyclones in 2020 and 2021.

The announcement was made by Australia's Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong during the joint press conference and launch of the Fiji Rugby Union 2023 Women's Rugby campaign in Nadi.

She says this is additional funding for the existing program which will enable them to renew all nine schools that was destroyed or damaged.

Wong says they will not just rebuild them but rebuild the schools to a higher standard which is category 5 Cyclone proof.

She adds they will also ensure the new school buildings will be using renewable energy.
