The Australian Men's 7s team is aiming to claim the final spot to automatically qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games at this week's London 7s.

Australia is currently sitting in fifth place and is 9 points clear of Samoa and South Africa.

Samoa and South Africa will have to dig deep if they wish to claim that spot, as they are in tough pools this weekend.

Samoa is pooled with Australia, France and Spain, and South Africa is in Pool A with Series champions New Zealand, Great Britain and the USA.

Meanwhile, Fiji’s first match is against Ireland at 9.23pm Saturday, they will then meet Argentina at 12.53am Sunday, and face Japan at 4.07am Sunday in their final pool match.

The cup quarter finals will start at 8.45pm Sunday, the cup semi-finals will begin at 12.33am Monday and the cup final will be held at 4.26am Monday.
