Bhawani Dayal Arya College

Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji says they will be unable to assist anyone affected due to COVID-19 or Tropical Cyclone Harold as they have been affected themselves.

This has been confirmed by the Sabha spokesperson Kamlesh Arya who says they are focusing on repairing the damaged Bhawani Dayal Arya College.

The repair work could cost up to $250,000.

Arya adds that they have not planned for any external support or assistance for the people affected by COVID-19.

He says nothing has been decided as their own members and schools have been affected.

The spokesperson adds that their members are helping themselves and they are keeping in touch with the members.

He adds that they rely on charity themselves and if any assistance is to be given, they will be donating to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.

The Arya Pratinidhi Sabha also runs 14 primary schools and 6 high schools.
