Army Red beat Brothers Nadogo 12-5 in first match

DXC Army Red defeated Dimension Brothers Nadogo 12-5 in the first match of the men’s 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament this morning.

The men's competition started at 7 this morning and will be played on two grounds, the HFC Bank Stadium and Buckhurst Park.

At the HFC Bank Stadium, Nakavu Rugby will face Yavirau, Nawaka will meet Dominion Brothers, Bureta Young Boys will meet Brothers 7s, and St Gabriel Nakavika will face Bula Ballers Vatukuro.

Meanwhile the Seahawks, Navy Womens, Striders and Lilians Amazon have booked their spots in the Women's semi finals after winning their respective quarter final matches at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Seahawks defeated Tagimoucia Ranadi 17-5 during the first quarter final after scoring three tries.

Striders beat CHM Sinukakala Amazons 17-0, Navy Women's demolished Marist 43-0 and Lilian Amazon thrashed Vuna Sisters 44-5.

The women's semi-finals will be held at 4.50pm today, and the final will be at 7.35 tonight.
