Argentina has defended its Copa America title after edging Colombia 1-nil in the final at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami to win a record 16th Copa America.

Both teams were tied nil-all at full-time.

Lautaro Martínez scored the lone goal for Argentina in the second half of extra time.

Lionel Messi had to leave the match early as he suffered an injury.

Meanwhile, Shakira had performed during halftime.

The final kick-off was delayed by 80 minutes because some fans were trying to get into the Stadium without tickets.
