Argentina through to semi-final after beating Netherlands 4-3 on penalties

Argentina is through to the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup after defeating Netherlands 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out this morning.

The match ended with a 2-all draw and was sent into extra time.

Emi Martinez made a couple of really good saves during the penalty shoot-out, denying Virgil van Dijk and Steven Berghuis shots.

Lionel Messi did not disappoint fans as he scored two goals for Argentina and his 10th World Cup goal.

Argentina will take on Croatia in the FIFA World Cup semi-final at 7am Wednesday.

Croatia beat favourites, Brazil 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out as well this morning.

In other quarter-finals tomorrow, Morocco will take on Portugal at 3am tomorrow while England takes on France at 7am.
