Former All Blacks prop Angus Ta’avao has signed a one-year deal with the Highlanders for the 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.
Ta’avao has won 23 caps for the All Blacks, offering the experience, leadership and professional habits that Highlanders coach Jamie Joseph is looking for to help his young squad.
He has played big minutes in Auckland’s opening two NPC games against Waikato and Canterbury, and admitted he had even surprised himself by how well his body was holding up.
Ta’avao will complete his NPC commitments with Auckland and then head to Dunedin at the end of the year.
