Tarun Patel’s position is Acting CEO of FBC until the CEO’s position is advertised within a 3 to 6 months period and anyone can apply for the role.

This was clarified by the Chairman of the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation, Ajay Bhai Amrit, at a press conference this afternoon.

He says they have also agreed that Patel will take a 40 percent pay cut from the former CEO’s contract.

Amrit says the new contract also shows that no vehicle will be given to Patel but he will have an allowance not exceeding $1,000 a month.

The FBC Board Chairman also clarified that Patel is not an expatriate, but Fijian born and bred.

Patel was announced as the new Acting CEO of FBC at the official rebranding ceremony of FBC that was held at the Grand Pacific Hotel last night.
