Aminiasi Naituyaga Junior, the son of the late Aminiasi Naituyaga Senior will start at number 8 for Malolo in the Skipper Cup semi-final tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Malolo Rugby President, Ratu Jone Tuilawa says Naituyaga has been a standout performer this season, showing exceptional skill in both attack and defence.

Ratu Jone says the 28-year-old is expected to execute his role well in what will be one of the biggest matches in the team’s history.

The President says this year marks a historic milestone for the Malolo side as it is their first time reaching the Skipper Cup semi-final.

He also highlighted that the team made history earlier in the competition by defeating Nadroga for the first time in a round match.

Ratu Jone says the squad’s success is the result of consistent hard work and team unity, with the core group of players having trained together since 2023.

Malolo will face Nadi at 1pm tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium.

In the another semi-final, Naitasiri will take on Tailevu at 3pm at the same venue.
