Alphonsus crowned new champion of Marist inter-house

Alphonsus House has been crowned the new champion of the Marist Brothers High School inter-house competition today.

They collected 17 gold, 15 silver and 15 bronze to claim the title from Claudius House, who have been champions for the last three years.

Claudius finished second with 17 gold, 13 silver and 14 bronze, Lambert House finished in 3rd place with 11 gold, 18 silver and 4 bronze, while Augustine finished in 4th place with 7 gold, 6 silver and 11 bronze.

Alphonsus was also awarded the most disciplined house of the 2-day event.

Meanwhile, Julius Ah Sing of Alphonsus won the Blue Ribbon event, edging former MGM High School sprinter Penaia Ramasirai of Lambert House.

Ramasirai finished second while Aminiasi Nagado of Alphonsus finished third.

In other 100-metres final results today, Kirikiti Biu of Alphonsus won the sub junior boys, Gerald Taoba of Augustine won the junior boys and Asaeli Nagado of Alphonsus scooped the intermediate boys.
