Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay says all their existing staff are almost back to full-time work schedules with the hotel.

General Manager, Silvano Dressino says they are even happier to provide additional employment opportunities, hiring 170 new recruits this week to be trained and ready to service their guests during Christmas and New Year holidays when the hotel will be near full capacity.

The resort hosted its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony after commencing their mangrove planting program through the Marriott Mangroves, Rivers and Reefs program in partnership with Mamanuca Environmental Society.

Dressino says this festive season is extremely special for them as they welcome the return of international guests and allow them to experience the genuine and warm bula spirit.

Dressino says international guests were able to take part in the annual Christmas tree lighting event together with local guests.

The event was graced by Christmas carols performed by the Lomawai Choir.

Na Tui Nalolo, Ratu Kini Vosailagi was the chief guest at the event.

Dressino has thanked the locals who showed their love for domestic tourism and helped them to remain open since March 2020.
