All Hindu schools will be closed on Monday and those students who attend other schools can speak to the heads of schools if they want to be with their family for Holi celebrations.
This has been confirmed by the Minister for Education Rosy Akbar during their Holi celebrations this afternoon.
The Ministry of Education staff including Akbar, Assistant Minister Joseph Nand and Assistant Minister for Employment Alvick Maharaj were part of the celebrations.
The staff at Ministry of Education played with colours and enjoyed sweets and dance items.
Akbar has urged people to think about those who are underprivileged especially the people who have lost jobs or are on reduced hours.
