All Blacks retain Bledisloe Cup after 33-24 win over the Wallabies

The All Blacks have retained the Bledisloe Cup after defeating the Wallabies 33-24 this afternoon at Eden Park.

The match was filled with much intensity as both teams showed some spectacular rugby to entertain the crowd.

The All Blacks draw first blood through a try to Caleb Clarke to lead 5-0 after five minutes.

Beauden Barrett added more points to the All Blacks lead converting a penalty before Leroy Carter cross the Wallabies try line to extend their lead to 13-3.

Halfback Cam Roigard scored another try for the All Blacks to extend the gap to 20-3 but the Wallabies did not give up as Billy Pollard crossed over the try line.

The Wallabies banded together and put pressure on the All Blacks and this paid off as Harry Potter got another one for the Wallabies, closing the gap to 20-17 at half time.

Damien McKenzie step up to the challenge in the secondary half, converting two penalties to extend the All Blacks lead, but a try to Carlo Tizzano and a converted penalty by James O'Connor brought back life to the Wallabies side.

The Wallbies Bledisloe Cup dream was shattered in the 75th minute as Roigard scored his second try.

The win has confirmed that the Bledisloe Cup Will remain in New Zealand for another year.
