The All Blacks kicked off their end-of-year tour in winning style, thumping Japan 64-19 last night in Yokohama.

Fiji-born and Japanese winger Jone Naikabula ignited the home ground with the first try of the game with a strong run to brush off defenders to score.

Raikabula exploded up the centre and gassed the cover to slam the ball over the try line and send the home crowd into raptures.

The Brave Blossoms' joy was short-lived, as the All Blacks replied and began their onslaught, scoring 43 points to lead 43-12 at halftime.

While the scoreboard looks flattering, and the All Blacks did score 10 tries, their inability to close out games will continue to be of concern.

In the second half, the All Blacks looked disjointed but got the job done 64-19 in Yokohama.

New Zealand currently seats third behind South Africa and Ireland in the overall world rugby ranking.
