Assemblies of God General Secretary, Reverend Filikesa Koroivueta

Advocating on social issues like teenage pregnancy, drugs and rape has been part of the Assemblies of God Church mission through sharing of the gospel in communities and villages throughout Fiji.

Assemblies of God General Secretary, Reverend Filikesa Koroivueta says the main priority for their church ministers is to make an impact in society, look at what is happening and how can they help the society socially, emotionally, physically and financially.

Reverend Koroivueta says their ministers are trained to be the agents of change in the communities and that is what they want to do.

He says the church also has a youth program that teaches biblical values, parents' responsibilities and what young children need to do and follow.

Reverend Koroivueta says they do not want the young people trapped in issues like drugs and sex offences.

He adds the church will talk more on these issues during the conference which is underway at the Vodafone Arena.
