ANZ Fiji has today signed as a banking partner for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua for the Super Rugby Pacific Competition.

Drua CEO Brian Thorburn says getting the support of a wide range of partners is crucial as they are happy to partner with one of the leading financial institutions in the region.

Thorburn says their team has been working hard and they are looking forward to running out for the first match this Friday with ANZ proudly displayed on their jerseys.

He confirms that the ANZ logo will be on the sleeves of the Fijian Drua jersey and will also be marked on the ground at every home game that the Drua plays.

Meanwhile, the ANZ Fiji Country Head, Rabih Yazbek says the idea of a support team behind these great players has strong parallels with the support ANZ provides customers to help them progress and reach their goals.

Yazbek says Fiji is bursting with sporting talent and it is no secret that rugby holds a unique place in the hearts of Fijians.

The Drua will meet the Waratahs at 8.45pm Friday.

In other matches, the Chiefs will take on the Highlanders at 3.35pm Saturday, the Crusaders will play the Hurricanes at 6.05pm Saturday, the Reds will face the Rebels at 8.45pm Saturday and the Brumbies meet the Western Force at 3pm Sunday.
