A new ray of hope for 2-year-old Kellyane Young

A new ray of hope for 2-year-old Kellyane Young

2-year-old Kellyane Young was given a new gift of life today after her successful heart surgery at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children's Hospital.

It was all smiles for the 2-year-old girl from Vanuatu who flew over last month with her father, Lenry Young, for this life-changing surgery.

Lenry says his daughter started developing symptoms when she was 1 year old and continuous coughs.

He says after the doctors examined her daughter, they revealed that she had a heart problem.

He further says that they were told to look for medical help in Australia and New Zealand, but they could not afford it financially.

He says they are blessed that Sai Sanjeevani Children's Hospital reached out and gave their daughter a new life and hope.

Chief Guest and Fiji Times Editor Fred Wesley says he is a proud supporter of this initiative and thanked the hospital for the help given to Young.
