90-year-old Laisiasa Ravolaca, who enjoys selling his produce at the Savusavu Market, is hoping to gain a lot of income this Christmas from selling his produce to assist his family prepare for the festive Christmas.

Ravolaca says despite his age, he goes to the Savusavu Market three to four times a week to sell bananas, cassava, dalo and yaqona.

He says there is no other way he can earn money for his daily living, and the only option is to farm and sell whatever he gets from his plantation.

He adds he can earn $20 to $25 in a day and hopes to earn more this Christmas.

The 90-year-old is urging the ageing people that nothing is impossible, take care of their health, and do something daily to contribute to the family, instead of relying on other family members.
