800 metres : Simpson of MGM claims another gold and Mesulame Tora takes the gold in the Boys Division

Gladness Simpson of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School could not contain her emotions after winning another gold medal in the 800 metres Senior Girls final today.

Simpson won her first gold medal in the 1,500 senior girls.

Rusila Tabuyawa of Naitasiri Secondary School won silver and Marama Senikaucava of Nukuloa College from Ba got the bronze.

Mesulame Tora of Natabua High School won gold in the Senior Boys 800 metres.

George O’Connor of Queen Victoria School settled for the silver medal while Waisea Tuiyabayaba of Dudley High School took the bronze.

Adi Ceva Lutumailagi of Natabua High School won the gold medal in the 800 metres Intermediate Girls.

Miliakere Marama of Saint John’s College in Cawaci while Naomi Galo of ACS took the bronze. In the 800 metres Intermediate Boys, Jale Raikatalau of RKS won his second gold medal. He had won the 1,500 metres gold as well.

Iosefo Tuvere of Nakasi High School took the silver medal while Isireli Macu of Holy Cross College settled for the bronze.

Sweet victory for the Matavatucou brigade as Soropepeli Nakasava of Queen Victoria School won gold in the final of the 800 metres Junior Boys Event.

Nakasava kept the spectators at the edge of their seats and defeated the favourite Mitieli Vukivuki of Nakasi High School and Samisoni Tavanavanua of Immaculate Conception College won bronze.

In the girls division Varanisese Naiqarau of Dreketi Central College won gold while Adi Lusiana Marawaqa won silver for Wainimala Secondary School and Mereseini Nalilo of Dreketi Central won bronze.

Rosalia Boseiwaqa of Adi Cakobau School won gold in the 800 metres Sub-Junior Girls event.

Adi Keva Nalau of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School claimed the silver medal while Masilina Navakacelo of Wainibuka Secondary School took bronze.

In the boys category, Marika Kelekelevesi won gold for Ratu Kadavulevu School.

Samuela Donu of Richmond Methodist High School took silver while Mesake Tudrau of MGM settled for bronze.
