8 new players and 4 returning players in Fijian Drua Women’s 30-member squad

The Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua has today announced its 30-member squad for the 2025 Super Rugby W competition, with eight new players forcing their way into the team and four players making their return.

The squad also features three Olympic bronze medallists from the 2020 Tokyo Games, as well as, a 17-year-old rookie.

Vitalina Naikore, who was a breakout star for the Drua and the competition in 2022, is one of the four returnees for this season.

For the first time ever, a Drua Women’s Development squad has also been announced to supplement and support the main squad, given a large casualty list of key players.

Currently in the rehab group hoping to make their return at some point during the season are stars and regular starters like Vani Arei, Atelaite Buna, Merewalesi Rokouono, Merewai Cumu and Sulita Waisega.

The Drua says this group is under a focused rehabilitation programme aimed at getting them ready for a return to Super Rugby W.

The 30-member Fijian Drua Women’s squad include Salanieta Nabuli, Bitila Tawake, Loraini Senivutu, Keleni Marawa, Isabella Koi, Vika Matarugu, Tiana Robanakadavu, Anasimeci Korovata, Mereoni Nakesa, Asinate Serevi, Merevesi Ofakimalino, Karalaini Naisewa, Nunia Daunimoala, Raijieli Daveua, Alfreda Fisher, Carlleta Yee, Evivi Senikarivi, Noelani Baselala, Kolora Lomani, Salanieta Kinita, Luisa Tisolo, Setaita Railumu, Josivini Naihamu, Aloesi Nakoci, Rusila Nagasau, Vitalina Naikore, Merewairita Neivoha, Ema Adivitaloga, Repeka Tove and Imeri Naki.

The Fijian Drua Women’s side will meet the Waratahs on the 28th of next month in their first 2025 Super Rugby W match.
