With the 2025/2026 World 7s Series just a few weeks away, the Fiji Men’s and Women’s 7s teams are already in camp, preparing for another world campaign.
The men’s team finished last season in second place with two tournament wins and will be aiming for the top spot this time around.
The women’s team finished seventh overall last season.
Acting Fiji Rugby Union CEO Koli Sewabu says preparations for the new season have already started, with both the men’s and women’s teams now in camp.
He says both teams will head to Dubai a week before the competition begins to acclimatise to the conditions and fine-tune preparations.
Sewabu adds that the FRU has an MOU with UAE Rugby, which will facilitate and support the teams’ travel.
The 2025/2026 World 7s Series kicks off with the Dubai 7s on November 29th and 30th, followed by the Cape Town 7s on December 6th and 7th.
