The Ministry of Youth and Sports has assisted a total of 771 youths with its Youth Farm Initiative Programme in the Northern Division last week.

Minister Parveen Bala says the Ministry is committed to provide focused and sustainable programs aimed at nurturing young people in agriculture.

Bala says they are particularly promoting organic agriculture as their contribution to ensuring sustainability in the face of the significant impact of climate change we face in Fiji and more recently-the global pandemic.

Bala further says the government wants a bright future for all Fijians hence the constant emphasis placed by the Ministry on the importance of sustainable living.

Furthermore, the village of Drawa in the province of Macuata welcomed Bala as the first Cabinet Minister to visit their community.
