A 70-year-old man from Mulomulo in Nadi has unfortunately lost his life following a road accident.
It is alleged that the man suddenly crossed the Nadi Back Road when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 43-year-old man.
Police say the victim was rushed to Nadi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The driver will be brought in for questioning as investigations continue.
The national road death toll currently stands at 35 compared to 32 for the same period last year.
