Mahendra Narayan who owns a restaurant in Walu Bay will be transferring $30 to 70 families

Mahendra Narayan who owns a restaurant in Walu Bay has today assisted 70 families with a cash payment of $30 who are struggling due to the effects of COVID-19.

He had set aside $2,000 to assist these families.

Please note the funds have been transferred and you can no longer contact Narayan for assistance.

Narayan says he received a lot of requests and it is unfortunate that he can only afford to assist 70 families.

He says this is a small help from his family and hopes this will encourage other people who own businesses to come forward and assist families in need.

Narayan says he wants to help these families because he also comes from a similar background and knows what it is like to have nothing.

Narayan says no one is capable of helping everyone on their own but a little help from those who can afford would mean a lot for the affected families.
