64 COVID-19 patients are currently on oxygen support and 6 patients are on ventilators – Dr Tudravu

Health Ministry's Chief Medical Advisor Doctor Jemesa Tudravu

The Health Ministry's Chief Medical Advisor Doctor Jemesa Tudravu says 64 COVID-19 patients are currently on oxygen support and 6 patients are on ventilators.

Dr Tudravu says 332 COVID patients are currently admitted in hospital facilities of which 84 are in a severe or critical condition.

He says today marks 106 days of the current outbreak.

Dr Tudravu says an accumulative total of  384,200 individuals have been screened and 70, 744 individuals have been swabbed.

He says all major health services are operational in all the divisions.

Dr Tudravu says they are very concerned about the increase in the number of new cases and number of deaths in the country.
