58 people are being kept in custody at two different holding centres after the ugly brawl between youths and men from Mead Road Housing and Sukanaivalu Road in Nabua yesterday.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro confirms that two adults and a juvenile were also injured, treated and sent home.

She says the cause of the latest brawl is unknown at this stage as investigations continue.

60 people were taken into Police custody with the assistance of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces officers after they managed to control the brawl at Mead Road Housing yesterday.

There are reports by eyewitnesses that men and youths from Sukanaivalu Road and others from other areas came to Mead Road Housing and stoned a number of houses and some people.

This also resulted in a brawl involving the men and youths from Mead Road Housing and Sukanaivalu Road.
