500,000 bars of soap has been secured by Colgate Palmolive Fiji to be donated in Fiji and the Pacific as part of the World Health Organisation Safe Hands Challenge and Colgate Palmolive’s Clean Hands Saves Lives initiative.

Speaking at the launch of Global Handwashing Day at Gospel Primary School today, Colgate Palmolive Fiji General Manager Hiten Lal says Colgate Palmolive globally has mobilized its manufacturing facilities to produce 25 million specially packaged hand soaps with clear instructions on proper handwashing for distribution to non-profit organisations in regions facing acute needs.

Health Minister Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete says he was very proud to be in a good school like Gospel Primary School.

He says his children attended Gospel Primary School.

Doctor Waqainabete says one thing that COVID-19 has shown is that children may have COVID-19 but they do not have any sickness.

Today, Doctor Waqainabete also took a question from an Early Childhood Education student.
