A 50 year old man who allegedly caused the death of a 26-year old man in Tomuka, Lautoka last week will appear in the Lautoka Magistrates Court today.

Police say the incident happened just after 3pm on the 5th of March and a man in his 50s was arrested shortly after.

They say the victim was rushed to Lautoka Aspen Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.

While speaking to fijivillage News, a neighbour revealed that the house where the incident took place is occupied by a man and his partner.

She says they saw the deceased man entering the house, and after some time, he came out bleeding and injured.

She added that arrangements were made to take him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead while on the way.

We have sent further questions to the police on the circumstances surrounding the death of the 26-year-old.

The accused has been charged with one count of murder.
