50 students from 3 HART communities get school stationery packages from Digicel

50 students from Year 1 to 13 who are residing at Housing Assistance and Relief Trust (HART) received their school stationery packages from Digicel today.

Digicel Fiji Chief Executive Officer Mike Greig says that this is part of their corporate responsibility and assistance given to the underprivileged in the community.

He adds this initiative was set up by their staff in which they started collecting funds and school materials since October.

Greig revealed that in the packages they have included exercise books, book covers and other everyday school stationery needs.

Head of Finance at the HART Office Jinal Chand says the children are from three HART communities around Valelevu which includes Nasole HART, Nadera HART and Korovou HART which is located at Newtown.

Chand says that they are grateful to the donation from Digicel.

The Vude Queen Laisa Vulakoro provided entertainment to the children durning the handover of the school stationery packages.
