5 players to make debut for Flying Fijians against Georgia this weekend

Fiji Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne has named a strong lineup to take on Georgia this weekend with 5 new players in line to make their international debut.

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua flanker Kitione Salawa, Stade Francais winger Peniasi Dakuwaqa and Racing 92 utility back Inia Tabuavou have been named to start while Fijian Drua backrower Elia Canakaivata and nippy flyhalf Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula will potentially be making their debut off the bench.

Eroni Mawi, Tevita Ikanivere and Mesake Doge will start in the frontrow, Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua will pair up at locks while Lekima Tagitagivalu and Salawa will be on the flanks with Viliame Mata at number 8.

Veteran Frank Lomani will start at halfback, Vilimoni Botitu will be at flyhalf with Tabuvou and captain Waisea Nayacalevu forming the centres combination.

Dakuwaqa will link up with Jiuta Wainiqolo on the wings with Ilaisa Droasese at fullback.

There will be a lot of firepower on the bench as well with Zuriel Tongiatama, Haereiti Hetet, Peni Ravai, Albert Tuisue, Ratu Meli Derenalagi and Elia Canakaivata covering the forwards while Simione Kuruvoli and Armstrong-Ravula covering the backs.

The Flying Fijians will take on Georgia at 4am Saturday in Georgia.
