Five boys aged 13 to 16 years are currently being questioned in relation to a series of house and car break-ins in the Namaka area.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirms that the guardians of the three boys aged 13 years, a boy aged 14 years and another boy aged 16 years are present while Police continue their questioning process.

An operations team from Namaka responded to an alleged break-in at a major retail outlet where they arrested the two 13 year olds.

Naisoro says subsequent searches were conducted at the boys’ home with their guardians present and items alleged to have been stolen from other similar cases of break-ins and car break-ins were found.

She says information was also obtained regarding the alleged involvement of other juveniles in the break-ins reported in the Namaka area since early this month.

They have also been taken in.
