The 48-year-old farmer of Qeledamu Settlement in Wainikoro, Labasa who allegedly murdered his wife has been charged.
The accused has been charged with one count of murder.
Police say the suspect is alleged to have attacked his wife with a cane knife causing her serious injuries which resulted in her death.
He will appear in the Labasa Magistrates Court today.
