Army Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto

A 4-year-old girl who was injured by a fallen tree that was being cut down by some staff of RFMF is still admitted at the CWM Hospital.

This has been confirmed to Fijivillage by the mother of the girl.

Meanwhile, Army Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto has confirmed that Republic of Fiji Military Forces engineers have rebuilt the house that was damaged in Wailailai Settlement last week when the staff of the RFMF felled trees in the area.

Rear Admiral Naupoto says the roofing iron fell when the trees fell on the house.

He says they had then asked the owner if they can rebuild the house.

Rear Admiral Naupoto says the family has now ended up with a much more better and stronger home and they were happy that they did it as it was also part of their community work that they do.

We have also received confirmation that this was not an official assignment of the RFMF as it was a private activity.

The house owners are also saying their household items were damaged during this unfortunate incident.

We are trying to get comments on this from the RFMF.
