The grandmother of the 4-month-old baby Meiva Raikanawa says her granddaughter looks healthier and happier after receiving the Gift of Life at Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital.

Esita Tatalau says she was diagnosed when she was only a month old.

She says she would be weak and lethargic but after the surgery, she smiles more.

Tatalau says she was worried about the surgery but got reassurance from the doctors at the CWM Hospital.

Meiva’s mother, Adi Balawa Baleiono adds she was worried when she received the news that her daughter had 2 holes in her heart when she was a month old.

She says the doctors at CWM referred Meiva to Sai Prema Hospital as the surgeries were completely free and had doctors coming in from overseas to perform heart surgeries.

Baleiono thanked the doctors and surgeons of Sai Prema for their hard work and for looking after her daughter and also her parents who have supported her and Meiva through the whole surgery.

She advises parents to take their children to the hospital as soon as their child or baby has a fever and not to be reluctant about surgery for their children at Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital.
