4 people are still under investigation after being found in possession of marijuana during a surprise check by Police that was held on one of the inter-island vessels berthed at the Suva Wharf.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu says they will not rest and will continue their fight against drugs by having surprise checks in places and along the roadside areas for drugs and other illegal subtsances.

He says their team managed to intercept a supply of marijuana for Christmas and New Year because this same concept has been happening around the Division with people being caught red-handed.

He adds that many more drugs were discovered in the vessel that was left abandoned.

ACP Driu advises all Fijians that the incident on Sunday should be a warning to all those involved in the illegal act and has stressed that the Police will continue its surprise checks at any time.
