4 Fijiana 7s players in Fijiana XVs 30-member squad preparing for the USA this weekend

Four Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s players, Ilisapeci Delaiwau, Mere Vocevoce, Kelerayani Luvu and Verenaisi Ditavutu, have been named in the 30-member Vodafone Fijiana XVs squad that left the country over the weekend to prepare for a one-test match against the USA Women’s XVs this Sunday.

The four players have been included by coach Ioan Cunningham as part of his squad development leading up to the upcoming Women’s Rugby World Cup.

Cunningham says this match against the USA is a great opportunity for them to test themselves against a top-tier team and it is all part of their build-up towards the World Cup.

He says they are treating this match with the seriousness it deserves.

The 30-member Fijiana XVs squad include Loraini Senivutu, Bitila Tawake, Tiana Robanakadavu, Jade Coates, Mereoni Nakesa, Nunia Daunimoala, Salaseini Railumu, Manuqalo Noame Komaitai, Salanieta Nabuli, Selai Naliva, Bulou Wainikiti Vasuturaga, Carletta Yee, Asinate Serevi, Alfreda Fisher, Rusila Nagasau, Keleni Marawa, Vika Matarugu, Karalaini Naisewa, Setaita Railumu, Salanieta Kinita, Mere Vocevoce, Josifini Neihamu, Ema Adivitaloga, Alowesi Nakoci, Kolora Lomani, Kelerayani Luvu, Verenaisi Ditavutu, Michelle Stolz, Ilisapeci Delaiwau, and Litiana Vueti.

The squad left our shores on Saturday and has landed in Washington D.C.

The Fijiana will take on the USA at 6.05am this Sunday in Washington.
