35 people from the Raiwaqa/Raiwai area were able to benefit from a 3 day Financial Literacy Business Management workshop

35 people from the Raiwaqa/Raiwai area were able to benefit from a 3 day Financial Literacy Business Management workshop.

It was organized by the Raiwaqa/Raiwai Small & Micro Enterprise organization in conjunction with the Ministry of Trade Cooperatives, Small and Micro-Enterprises, Integrated Human Resources Development Programme.

The Association says they hope to empower the people in their community through workshops of this nature that will enable not only small business owners but the youth in their community.

Minister for Home Affairs ,Pio Tikoduadua encouraged the participants to save their money, take their profit first and then work on the rest.

Tikoduadua says if they put their heart and soul into something it makes it very easy for them to overcome obstacles.

Raiwaqa Market vendor Seria Marama adds the workshop has helped tremendously, teaching her about cash flow plans, budgeting and the importance of banking her money.

The 35 participants received their Certificates of Completion today.
