3 percent of Decked Out Fiji's total sales from October and November will support cancer research, education, and treatment in Fiji.

This commitment was highlighted by the General Manager of Decked Out Fiji Abdul Shameer during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding at the Fiji Cancer Society office.

The MOU formalizes the partnership between Decked Out Fiji and the Fiji Cancer Society which marks the beginning of a collaborative effort to advance cancer awareness and support.

Shameer says every purchase whether it’s a bottle of liqueur from Finest Liquor, fruit pulp from Triple 3 or uniforms from Decked Out Apparel will directly support this cause.

He adds the initiative isn’t just about raising funds but it’s about rallying our community to make a tangible difference in the fight against cancer.

In an interview with fijivillage News, the Chief Executive Officer of the Fiji Cancer Society, Belinda Chan emphasized the importance of early detection in battling cancer.

When asked about the most common types of cancer in Fiji, Chan says breast and cervical cancer are most prevalent among women while men are more likely to be affected by lung, testicular, or prostate cancer.

Chan urged those reluctant to seek medical help not to wait too long assuring that local treatment options are readily available. Chan also calls on other companies to join the effort and contribute to supporting the Fiji Cancer Society.

She says every bit of help makes a difference in their fight against cancer and ensures that they continue to provide crucial support and services to those in need.
