3 men arrested for alleged drug possession in Votualevu, Grantham Rd and Belo St

Three men were arrested for alleged cases of unlawful possession of illicit drugs, believed to be methamphetamine.

Police say the arrests were made in Votualevu, Grantham Road in Raiwaqa and Belo Street in Samabula on the 1st and 2nd of January 2026.

The first arrest was conducted on Thursday morning along Grantham Road, whereby a 30-year-old man residing in Nanuku Settlement, was found with several zip lock bags containing white substances believed to be methamphetamine.

Also seized were smoking apparatuses, dried leaves believed to be marijuana and cash believed to be proceeds of crime.

They say in the second case, a 25 year old man was arrested with clear plastics containing white substances believed to be methamphetamine in Votualevu.

In the third arrest also on the 2nd of January, a 37 year old man residing in Makoi was arrested with a zip lock plastic containing white substances believed to be methamphetamine.

All suspects remain in custody as the seized substances have been sent for analysis.
