Three lives have unfortunately been lost, and one woman is in critical condition at the CWM Hospital following three separate incidents of partner related violence.

Police say in the first case reported at the Raiwaqa Police Station, a couple lost their lives in an alleged murder-suicide case.

They say that the officers were responding to a case of an alleged domestic disturbance at the mentioned location as the couple were arguing.

Police say upon arrival, they found the two victims in what was initially an alleged murder-suicide.

When fijivillage News reached the crime scene after receiving a tip-off, the area was cordoned off by police and it is understood that the bodies were still inside the house.

Neighbours were still in a state of shock as they were all asked to evacuate the area.

In the second case of alleged domestic violence, police say a woman in her 20s was found with visible injuries inside her home at Kerebula Road in Nadi.

They say the victim’s partner, a man in his 40s is alleged to have stabbed the victim, causing her serious injuries, resulting in her death.

The suspect was arrested and is currently in police custody.

In the third report, a woman was found by police officers outside an apartment complex in Suva with visible injuries, allegedly inflicted by her partner.

Police say the victim was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where she is receiving medical treatment as the search continues for her partner.

As investigations continue into all three cases, the Fiji Police Force is again urging members of the public not to resort to violence as a means of resolving disputes.
