The gravity of Fiji's drug crisis is clear as a total of $3.6 billion worth of methamphetamine and $91.9 million worth of cocaine have been seized by Police from 2022 to 2025.

This is according to the Police statistics provided in the National Pastoral Response to Drugs organised by the Fiji Council of Churches, and it does not include the cocaine bust in Vatia worth close to $3 billion.

The total amount of marijuana seized from 2022 to 2025 is $197.5 million.

According to the statistics, the total value of all drugs seized for that period is $3.9 billion.

Meanwhile there has been a total of 7,710 drug related cases from 2021 to 2025.

94 percent (7,460) of these cases have been men while 6 percent (454) are women.
