29 people were arrested by Police in the last 48 hours for being drunk driving, and this included a police officer.

Police say despite the repeated warnings and requests not to drink and drive, some drivers continue to gamble not only their lives but other innocent road users.

They say with four days to go before Christmas, they don’t want a time normally associated with joy to be one of pain and sorrow, as a result of someone’s failure to just say no to drinking and driving.

They also say that the overindulgence of alcohol is not only a threat on our roads, but in every aspect of our every day lives.
