29 people charged with 60 counts of separate serious sex offences in November

29 people have been charged with a total of 60 counts of serious sex offences in November this year, and this includes separate incidents of a 19-year-old woman allegedly raping a girl and a 57-year-old man allegedly raping a girl and also producing pornographic videos.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions says the 19-year-old woman was charged with the abduction, rape and sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl.

The 57-year-old man was charged with four counts of rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of pornographic activities involving a juvenile. The accused allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl and recorded pornographic activities involving the victim.

For the month of November, there were 27 victims of whom 11 victims were under the age of 18 years.

There were 26 female victims and one male victim.

There were 12 incidents where the victims and the accused were related to one another.

A 19-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 14-year-old nephew.

A 35-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 15-year-old niece while in another incident, a 22-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 12-year-old niece. There was one incident where a 35-year-old man was charged with the rape and assault with intent to commit rape of his 28-year-old wife. The accused was also charged with the breach of the domestic violence restraining order.

A 26-year-old man was charged with the rape and assault causing actual bodily harm to his 23-year-old wife.

A 43-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 35-year-old wife while in another incident, a 32-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 33-year-old defacto partner.

There was one incident where a 40-year-old man was charged with the rape and attempted rape of his 27-year-old defacto partner.

A 48-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 57-year-old cousin.

In another incident, a 20-year-old man was charged with the sexual assault of his 13-year-old cousin.

A 23-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 21-year-old defacto partner while in another incident, a 36-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 12-year-old niece, however, both the matters were discontinued due to a false complaint and insufficient evidence.

There was one incident where a 48-year-old man was charged with the rape, attempted rape, sexual assault and assault causing actual bodily harm to a 12-year-old girl from his village.

A 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were charged with the rape, attempted rape and assault causing actual bodily harm to a 19-year-old woman.

A 63-year-old man was charged with the rape of a 19-year-old woman. The accused person is the father of the victim’s boyfriend.

There was one incident where a 21-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 20-year-old girlfriend.

Seven cases were withdrawn after discontinuances were filed due to insufficient evidence, false complaint and the death of an accused person.
