It was an exciting night for 29 new graduates of Leadership Fiji after receiving their graduation certificates.

While officiating at the graduation ceremony, British High Commissioner to Fiji, Dr Brian Jones says leadership comes down to communication and decision-making because these are critical to people doing their work.

He says if they are not empowering people, then they have failed as leaders.

Dr Jones says being a leader means seeing things from every point of view and understanding that such actions will earn respect from peers.

Leadership Fiji Chairman William Parkinson acknowledged the graduates for their dedication in completing their course this year and welcomed them into the Leadership Alumni group.

He says after this graduation, their alumni count reaches 592.

Parkinson says one of their roles as community leaders is to bring about change.
