A 26-year-old man has been arrested following an aggravated robbery case in Colo-i-Suva last night after the quick action of a 20-year-old mechanic.

Chief Operations Officer ACP Abdul Khan says a 33-year-old woman who was serving her last customer for the day at a shop around 10pm noticed three men acting in a suspicious manner.

Police say the woman alerted her 20-year-old neighbour to escort her last customer a young girl, home.

It is alleged that two of the suspects entered the shop and assaulted the 33-year-old woman before fleeing with a box containing money.

While in commending the actions of the 20-year-old mechanic, ACP Khan says It is easy to walk away and say that's not my problem, wait for the Police.

He adds the Fiji Police Force commends him for his brave actions, and will ensure that the other two suspects involved will also be rounded up.
