A total of 22 elderly persons from Valelevu Hart today received free medical clinic at the Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre.

69-year-old Susana Salavura who has been living at the Valelevu Hart for almost 7 years says the medical clinic conducted by Sai Prema Hospital has helped the elderly a lot to identify their body conditions, especially when they are at a certain age.

Salavura also thanked the Valelevu Hart for their services in providing good care for them.

Sereima Rabi, who is a staff of the Valelevu Hart says the elderly are always willing to attend screening offered by Sai Prema because they have witnessed the kind of services they provide to people.

Rabi says the hospital always provides frequent follow-ups for all patients at the Hart which is helpful to the staff in updating them regarding their medical conditions.

A representative from the Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre, Mahendra Narotam says that they always carry out medical clinics for the elderly at Valelevu HART every six months.

Narotam says they normally find out Non-Communicable Diseases after screening.

Namrata Tappoo who is also a staff at Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre says the hospital is planning to carry out screening in remote areas, and they will need to liaise with the Ministry of Health regarding this.
